The clearing was bright at sunhigh and a small breeze was blowing, making golden and amber leaves fall from their branches. Runningstar gripped his claws onto the bark of the tree that made his den and climbed his way to the HighBranch. He let out a yowl that caught ever cat's attention and they gathered to hear their leader's words.
"Cats of RunningClan, I gather you here today to welcome two new members to our clan. The first is Moonshadow," the brown tom announced. His green eyes rested on the grey-blue she-cat as she made her way to the HighBranch and stood below her new leader. "Moonshadow, if you wish to be a warrior of RunningClan, you must follow the warrior code and be loyal to your clan. Do you promise to do so?" Runningstar questioned. "I do," the she-cat replied with a nod. "Then Moonshadow, I welcome you as a member of RunningClan," the dusty brown tabby meowed. Moonshadow's blue eyes where shining with pride as the clan called her name.
"Moonshadow! Moonshadow! Moonshadow!"
The new warrior returned to her place in the crowd of cats while Runningstar continued. "Next, a she-cat named Jade wishes to join us." The light brown she-cat hurried forward, her green eyes filled with excitement. "Jade, if you wish to become a RunningClan warrior, you must follow the warrior code and be loyal to your clan. Do you promise to do so?" Runningstar asked. "I do," Jade meowed, her gaze focused on Runningstar. "Then you will be known as--," the leader started to say, but was cut off by the she-cat standing below him. "Would you mind if I kept my name?" the light brown cat asked, still looking at Runningstar. The dusty brown tom tilted his head, but replied, "Alright. Jade, I welcome you as a member of RunningClan." The she-cat looked relieved and she walked back to the group of cats, beaming with happiness as they cheered for her.
"Jade! Jade! Jade!"
Runningstar smiled, looking satisfied that his clan had new warriors. With a flick of his tail, he dismissed the meeting and leaped down from the HighBranch. A golden leaf landed on his nose once he was on the ground. He let out a laugh and twitched his whiskers, and then watched the leaf fall before he entered his den.

Grayspots watched Runningstar pad into his den and sighed. She walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a small mouse, slowly walking over to a sunny spot. She sat down and watched Jade and Moonshadow talk.

"Same here. I wonder if one of the warrior will give us a tour of the territory now?" Moonshadow answered. "Let's go ask!"

K! who should we ask?
"Let's ask Nightbird." Moonshadow replied
Tawnybird lay in her nest, her tail curled over her nose. Her kits would be coming soon so she was trying to get as much sleep as she could.
Bluemoon poked her head out of the medicine den to take a look at the new arrivals, then turned back in to finish cataloging her herbs.

Leafpaw stretched and purred, nuding Crescentpaw.

"Go away," Crescentpaw muttered to his sister and shut his eyes.

Nightbird gazed sadly at Runningstar's den, her bright green eyes shimmering with thought. She stretched on the ground from where she was, and got up. It was particularly warm for a leaf-fall day.
