The dusty brown tom leaped up into the bare tree and stood on the HighBranch. He sighed as he felt a cool breeze blow through his fur and the leafless branches surrounding the camp. He let out a yowl that caught every cat's attention, then Runningstar waited for his clan to gather for a meeting.
"Today we have a new warrior joining us. Silentblaze, please step forward," Runningstar began. His green eyes landed on the grey tom as he walked up to the HighBranch. "Silentblaze, if you wish to be a warrior of RunningClan, you must follow the warrior code and be loyal to your clan. Do you promise to do so?"
"I do," was the grey warrior's confident reply.
"Then you are now a warrior of RunningClan. Please welcome Silentblaze!" the leader announced. He watched his clan with a smile as the cheered for the new warrior.
"Silentblaze! Silentblaze!"
Having nothing more to say, Runningstar flicked his tail to dismiss the cats. He felt another cold gust of air before he jumped down from the HighBranch. It was obvious that leaf-fall had come to an end. The brown tom looked up at the pale blue sky through the leafless branches. He had a feeling that the cold wouldn't be the only thing they needed to worry about this leafbare.

Silentblaze grinned, his tail flicking from side to side as he scanned the clearing, trying to get used to where he was staying for now on. He was a little nervous, but he wasn't ready to admit it, and instead tried to fit in.
Nightbird padded up to Silentblaze and dipped her head."Welcome to Runningclan." She smiled politely. She felt she had to show much respect for every cat, especially the new ones.
Foxleap sat down after cheering, quickly licking his paw and wiping it behind his ears.
Silentblaze smiled back, nodding. "Thanks." His eyes strayed to the camp again, curious. "So I'm, um, Silentblaze...as you already know." He flattened his ears against his head, embarrassed.
Nightbird purred."Yes. I'm Nightbird." She dipped her head once again. She glanced briefly at Runningstar again as he observed the sky.
Silentblaze noticed her glance, focusing his gaze in the direction of the dusty brown leader. His tail curled over his paws as he looked back awkwardly, knowing Nightbird saw him shift his gaze too.
Nightbird's face was burning. He had seen her glance."Anyways, welcome!" She said awkwardly and quickly padded to the fresh-kill pile. She picked at a thrush, even though she wasn't very hungry anymore.

Silentblaze nodded, smiling the best he could as the jet black she-cat made her way to the fresh-kill pile. He sighed involuntarily and moved to a spot underneath the shade of a tree, lost in thoughts.
Nightbird eventually finished her thrush and rested her head on her delicate paws. She glanced longingly at Runningstar, knowing it wasn't going to happen."Grayspots has a crush on him," She sighed quietly to herself."And I'm to shy to do anything but glance at him." She wanted to cry."At least my dad isn't around." She tried to lighten her spirits. What she didn't know was that her father had actually survived the fire. And he was searching for her.
(If you want we could wait for rouges to kill him, or I could just kill him now. And I still need to know whether Grayspots or Nightbird will be the she-cat who runningstar likes, but then the rouges kidnap her and kill her.)

(Ikr, such a beautiful ending. xD Okay then, Grayspots it is. And I was thinking...maybe after Grayspots is dead Runningstar will end up with Nightbird. And do you want Grayspots to have kits before she is murdered? :3)

Bluemoon padded over to Silentblaze. "Sorry to disturb you. I just didn't get a chance to introduce myself. I'm Bluemoon, medicine cat of Runningclan, and it's nice to meet you."

Silentblaze blinked, smiling at the she-cat. "Nice to meet you too, Bluemoon."
Following her mentor, Littlepaw limped over to the new warrior. "Hi, I'm the medicine cat apprentice, Littlepaw. Welcome to RunningClan," she mewed, trying to stand up straighter.

Silentblaze had noticed her injury quickly, but refused to gawk at it. He looked at her eyes instead, striving to be polite. "Thanks, Littlepaw." He smiled at her.
